Pastor Payton believes the most important thing he can tell you about himself is that he LOVES Jesus.  He is addicted to seeing lost people come to know Jesus, and seeing Jesus’ people grow in their love for Him. Payton has been married to his beautiful wife, Lyndsi since 2013, and they have 3 beautiful children: Micah, Elijah, and Miriam.

Payton joined our team in August of 2023, before coming to JMC he and Lyndsi served as missionaries to an apartment community in Southwest Fort Worth, and he worked in digital advertising sales for two different national media companies. He is currently attending Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University.

When he’s not at the church, Payton loves playing with his family, watching his kids’ sports games, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the LSU Tigers, and going on dates with his beautiful wife.

Lynn has been a member of the United Methodist Church since she was a child. Growing up in the military, she has been to a lot of different places, she and her husband moved to Joshua in late 2006 and joined the First United Methodist Church Joshua in 2010. She became Director of Communications & Publications in the Fall of 2021.

She has 1 child, 1 horse-child, 4 cat-children.

Jennifer is married to Kevin Higgins, they have 3 kids, several cats, and 2 dogs.  She attended Joshua High School, got her BS in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from McMurry University, she received a Master’s in Professional Accounting from UTA.

She has owned several businesses including a home daycare for 4 years. Her passion is working with children. She loves seeing the world through the eyes of a child. They bring a different perspective to the world.  

She has been the JUMPS director since 2020. Prior to that, she was the nursery director.

She has been a member of FUMC Joshua for over 40 years.

Donna has been married over 40 years her wonderful husband Darrell Gregory. They have 4 kids, 8 grandkids, 1 great granddaughter, & 2 puppies.  She attended OD Wyatt High School, then attended TCC college. She worked in the school district for over 22 years  in special education.  Her passion is children, she then semi-retired to help with grandkids. She is now retired from the school district but works part time mentoring one on one with a young man. She has been the Director of Children’s Ministry since 2020. She has been at FUMC Joshua since 2006.
